GFAF Expo Schaumburg Recap

What a fantastic Celiac Awareness Month it has been! Between the GFAF Expo in Schaumburg, the awesome Enjoy Life promotions we have been doing, and the Philly GF Expo a couple of weeks back, I have been doing so much to spread the word about food allergy and celiac awareness. And I wouldn’t have it any other way!

The GFAF Expo in Schaumburg was one of the largest expos I think I have ever been to, which was amazing! I was lucky enough to be on both the blogger team and the Enjoy Life Foods booth team – so I got to enjoy the expo from two different perspectives.

The great thing about being a food allergy blogger is that our community is so tightly knit. We are all huge advocates and supporters of one another, and are essentially

one big family. I was so happy to finally meet Brianna from A Different Survival Guide and Margaret from MI Gluten Free Gal in person! We’ve been twitter friends for a while, so it was awesome to make those friendships real-life official! As always, it was great to see Tiffany from GF Mom Certified, Angela from Celiac Hashi Girl, Keeley McGuire and my girl Elyse from Raleigh! We had our gluten-free girl fun at the NIMA demo and VIP dinner after the 1st day, and it was so fun to bring the girls to the expo on the 2nd day! They loved seeing the ELF booth and meeting the team.

Two brands that I discovered at the show that I’m really excited about are The Paleo Cookie and Osteobroth. I met Anna from the Paleo Cookie when she came up to our booth and was excited to connect. I love a good gluten and dairy-free cookie, and the mindset behind the brand is based on the power of real food and healing, which I absolutely LOVE. Osteobroth actually reached out to me prior to the expo, so I made a point to visit the booth while I was there. It’s a neat concept – basically a convenient (and still good quality, all-natural) way to make bone broth when you don’t have time to make your own from scratch. I’m excited to potentially work with these two brands in the future. I mean, bone broth and cookies…what else do you need in life?
