GFAF Expo in Schaumburg, IL!

May is a big month for the gluten-free and food allergy communities. Not only is it Celiac Awareness Month, but May 8-14 is Food Allergy Awareness Week, and FARE has deemed May Food Allergy Action Month as well! Lots of exciting things are happening in the food allergy world to raise awareness, and promote education throughout the community and beyond.

I actually started the month by working at the Celiac Disease Foundation National Conference & Expo in Pasadena! It was my first time in California, and the event was awesome. I got to represent my favorite gluten-free and allergy-friendly snack company, see a bunch of my blogger friends, and connect with new friends. It was definitely a great way to kick off this exciting month.

The NEXT event I’ll be at will be the GFAF Expo in Schaumburg, IL on May 14-15! I haven’t been to one of these events since going to Atlanta last year, and I can’t wait. I’m excited to be on both the blogger team AND the Enjoy Life Foods event team for this one – the best of both worlds!

Of course, I’m looking forward to seeing some of my favorite brands at the show, but since I’m still a Chicago newbie, it will be great to find some local stores and brands that I can enjoy! What I’m most excited about, however, is meeting other bloggers and connecting with fans of ELF. My favorite part of any expo is meeting new people, and the fact that this one is close to home makes it even better!

And to all of you who are reading this, I have 5 free tickets to give away if you’re planning on attending! All you have to do is comment below and tell me what YOU’RE most excited to see at the Expo! See? Easy.

Can’t wait to see you all there!

  1. Besides seeing Miss Kathleen Shannon herself & Enjoy Life Foods, I’m super pumped to go to see the lecture on Low-FODMAPs. I’m also pumped to try Element Snacks and see the NIMA gluten sensor. Also– did you know Mike’s (as in Mike’s Hard Lemonade) will be there?? Interesting…
